Growing up in the countryside of South West England, Solomon Walter-Kelly's journey into the world of visual storytelling was ignited at an early age. Inspired by an artistic family, and an unwavering fascination with film, Solomon spent much of his childhood taking part in theatre productions, playing music and making 'movies' with his friends.
After school, an invitiation led him to Fabrica, United Colors of Benetton's communications research center in Treviso, Italy. He joined the video department on a year long residency. There, he embarked on various fashion oriented projects. Developing ideas and producing videos for the brand output.
Solomon then pursued studies in Fine Art: Print and Time-Based Media at Wimbledon College of Art (UAL), followed by Documentary Film and Television studies at Newport Film School in Wales (USW), graduating in 2016.
In Autumn 2016, Solomon founded SK Film+Video, a production company specializing in Documentary, Music Videos, and Promotional Films. Working locally and internationally, SK Film+Video has managed to find captivating narratives through its many varied clients. Recent documentary work has focused on 'Future Technologies' and its relation with Art, Music and Mental Health.
While also possessing extensive technical knowhow of modern equipment and processes, Solomon Walter-Kelly is proud to have experience in Directing, Video Editing, Cinematography, and Idea Development. With this versatilty comes the abilty to work as a Self-Shooting Director on smaller productions, but SK Film+Video also has a plethra of talented creative contacts which can be called upon when required.
Since 2019, the company has been based out of Leipzig, Germany. However, UK and International clients are still welcome.
