A Boat In An Endless Blue Sea is an experimental opera written and performed by children from Rathfern Primary School across the spring and summer of 2020. Devised by soprano Kelly Poukens https://www.kellypoukens.com and composer Alastair White https://www.alastairwhite.org, the opera was directed by visual artist Joel Chima https://cargocollective.com/joelchima Through a fusion of graphic scores, conduction techniques, sound art, poetry and physical theatre, the work shows 2020 through the eyes of the next generation.
